Joe Sinsabaugh has drawn, painted and sculpted for more than 30 years. He studied under accomplished teachers: Mark Potter at The Taft School, Frank Smullin at Duke University, and Bernard Pfriem at Lacoste, France. The influences and styles vary in his works, from Midwest hills to Indian petroglyphs, from the motion of flying to the sensuality of flowers. Some of his pieces are unique combinations of painting, woodwork and natural elements, others show the disrespect and arrogance of modern man. The power and beauty of nature are recurrent themes, with philosophical underpinnings the viewer must interpret. These works are meant to stimulate and inspire.
